The Work I Do.

I design.
I plant.
I build.
I teach.
I inspire.
I dig in the dirt.
Mostly, I dig in the dirt and get dirty.
That's how you know you've been good.

So you heard about permaculture and want to learn more!?!
Good for you... good for your family... and good for Mother Earth!
Want to learn how to plan your garden, how to think regeneratively, and how to design your life for resillience and abundance?  Well, let's get our hands dirty and dig in!
We will spend some of our time learning, some observing and discussing, and some of it actually DOING!  You will leave with plants to start your own garden, ideas to spark your creativity, and design know-how to give you that regenerative edge.  Best of all, you will leave with enthusiasm and confidence!
Come spend the day with new friends and find hope for the future.

These 12-week courses are taught on The Earthius Project, a UN Decade for Biodiversity 2019 Project of Merit. The courses run simultaneously for 4 consecutive Saturdays, break for a week, then run 4 more Saturdays, break, then another 4 Saturdays, ending on June 20, 2020.

The PFC (permaculture foundations course) covers the same material as the PDC, but does not include the design project mentoring and certification. It will run from 9am-1pm each Saturday. This course is perfect if you just want to learn and apply.

The PDC (permaculture design certification) covers the same materials and hands-on activities, but features an additional 2 hours after each session for one-on-one and group mentoring to complete the required design project and brief. This course runs from 9am-3pm each Saturday.

Join us for a tour of The Earthius Project, a UN Decade for Biodiversity 2019 project recognized to contribute significantly to the biodiversity necessary to rebuild the earth's capacity to sustain us.
We will learn how a regenerative approach called Three Zone Gardening is helping native plants and insects make a comeback.  Supercharge your production zone by closing the ecological cycles as nature models for us. See how bringing permaculture ethics and the native planting movement together can eliminate the deficits found in each.
We will talk about how to get started and what support network is available to you!
A voluntary $5-10 cash donation per adult after the tour to help us further this great and necessary work is much appreciated!

Accommodations & Meals

You are welcome to camp overnight on the Earthius grounds for a nightly fee of $15 to cover facility costs and a communal dinner.  We do have one Cabin Rental available for up to two people.  If you want it to yourself, the nightly fee is $42 (including dinner), if you share it, each person pays $28 (including dinner).

You will be asked to participate in preparing the meal (harvest, prepping, fire tending, or cleanup).  If you want to join us for the dinner but not camp overnight, you can pay just $8.

If you wish to spend all week here, not just the weekend, we can arrange a flat fee for meals and accommodation, including a discount on the course fee for work-trade hours during the week.
